Sancti Spíritus, April 24 (RHC)-- Around 5,000 members of the Young Communist League, the UJC, will lead this year's May Day march in Sancti Spíritus, an event which organizers say will emphasize the commitment of the island’s youth to the revolutionary process. Construction workers in Sancti Spiritus, located in central Cuba, will follow the young people in the big parade next week.
Meanwhile, a number of activities are taking place this week in the lead up to May Day, with more than 30 taking place over the next few days.
Oslidia López Martínez, a member of the CTC provincial secretariat, explained that every workplace in Sancti Spiritus will be undertaking activities in honor of International Workers' Day, including recognizing outstanding members of staff across production and service sectors, as well as organizing mass blood donations.
