Ciego de Avila, May 3 (RHC-PL)-- An international symposium on arthroscopy opened this week in Ciego de Avila, in central Cuba. This is the 17th event of its kind held in Cuba and is being attended by medical specialists from Switzerland, Canada, Austria, France, Puerto Rico and Cuba.
The event will run until this coming Saturday, May 6th, at the Antonio Luaces Hospital, in Ciego de Avila. It will feature clinical sessions, lectures and demonstrative medical procedures using newly developed minimally invasive techniques for surgery of the knee and other joints of the human body.
Arthroscopic surgery of the knee has been gaining importance worldwide. It prevents post-surgery complications, scales down hospital costs, and provides speedy recovery for patients.
