Havana, May 10 (RHC)-- A Center for the Interpretation of Cultural Relations between Cuba and Europe was inaugurated Monday in Havana. The European Union's Ambassador in Cuba, Herman Portocarero, attended the ceremony. He said the move signals the strong European presence in and influence on today's Cuban society.
At the ceremony, Havana City Historian Eusebio Leal said the Center is a meeting place for both culture and heritage. He added that the project shows the value of the contributions by each culture through ten interactive rooms including music and dance, literature, architecture and urbanism.
Visitors to the Center enjoy an experimental tour through audiovisual materials and virtual trips through history.
The initiative is part of the international cooperation project run by the Havana Historian's Office.
