Managua, May 27 (RHC)-- Solidarity groups in Nicaragua are hosting the 14th National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, which is this time dedicated to independence heroes José Martí of Cuba and Nicaragua's Augusto Cesar Sandino.
Organized by the Coordinadora Nicaragüense de Solidaridad con Cuba, the event gathers activists from solidarity groups in the Central American nation.
The program includes three panel discussions to debate the historical friendship and cooperation ties between Nicaragua and Cuba, the legacy of Revolution leader Fidel Castro and Washington's nearly six-decade old blockade against Cuba.
Participants will also demand the return to Cuba of the portion of territory in Guantánamo illegally occupied by a U.S. naval base against the expressed will of the Cuban government and people.
