Havana, February 3 (RHC)-- The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, wrote the preface to the second edition of Historia de una Gesta Libertadora (Story of a Libertarian Action), 1952-1958, of the revolutionary fighter Georgina Leyva.
"In his book, Gina helped me remember and understand more precisely the thinking that drove me in those intense years I lived, although I am aware that more than a prologue, I'm writing a chapter in the Story of a libertarian gest 1952-1958," refers Fidel Castro.
In its lines, the leader of the Cuban Revolution reaffirms his ethical attitude to the enemy, explaining how the prisoners were treated and constant acts to prevent further bloodshed as a result of the fighting against the army of the Batista dictatorship, said today Granma daily.
Described as remarkable for the testimonial value of its stories, the text includes unpublished data allowing clarify certain passages in the recent history of Cuba, PL news agency reported.
Similarly, it reveals the temple of a group of Cuban men and women who decided in his youth and in the most adverse conditions to change the economic, political and social direction of the country.
Protagonist of the story she told, Leyva also exposes the revolutionary evolution of the Rebel Army Commander Julio Camacho Aguilera, leader of a rebel group in the eastern province of Guantanamo and her partner in life.
"This book is a contribution to the historical memory of our Cuba, which gives an account that intends to broadcast details of the events on the stage of revolutionary struggle, involved in the sacrifices of its protagonists and their dedication to the fight for victory", added the editor Neyda Izquierdo, National publishing Award 2013.
