Havana, December 2 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raul Castro has sent a congratulatory message to the students and professors of the Marta Abreu Central University of Las Villas on the occasion of its 65th anniversary.
Andres Castro, rector of the university based in the central city of Santa Clara, stressed that the edcuational center is distinguished by the quality of its students, committed to the development of the nation and the Cuban Revolution.
Since its foundation on November 30, 1952, this center of higher education is the most important in that region of the country and one of the most multi-disciplinary, with 52 careers covering the humanities and natural sciences.
