Holguin, Feb 22 (RHC)-- Holguin is hosting the 10th edition of the Exposcience 2018 Provincial Event, which opened sessions Wednesday with a conference by researcher with the Havana-based Molecular Immunology Center, Dr. Agustin Lage.
Dr. Lage spoke on the main challenges of the sector in the current world scenario, among them its relations with globalization and the need for entities with high technology to export its services, toward generating higher levels of development.
The prestigious Cuban scientist also mentioned Cuba's achievements in the field, particularly nanotechnology and biotechnology.
During Wednesday's session, a panel was held on industrial property and the role of brand names in commercialization processes.
The Exposcience event was held for the first time in 2008, as a space of exchange among scientists, innovators and specialists in different fields.
