Ulaanbaatar, Feb 24 (RHC)-- The National News Agency of Mongolia, MONTSAME, and the Havana-based Prensa Latina news agency signed Friday a cooperation agreement providing for the exchange of news and between both information entities.
The accord was penned in Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian capital, by Ganchimeg Badamdorj, General Director of MONTSAME, and Cuba's Ambassador Raúl Delgado, on behalf of Prensa Latina. It allows for the exchange of daily news dispatches in English between the two agencies.
The Mongolian news agency official said the agreement will help to a better understanding of the two countries' cultures and history.
Founded in 1921, MONTSAME is Mongolia's state news agency. It is headquartered in Ulaanbaatar and has bureaus in 21 provinces of Mongolia, in Beijing and also in Moscow.
