Namibian Prime Minister Pays Tribute to José Martí

Havana, February 26 (RHC)-- Doctor Hage Gottfried Geingob, Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, is on an official visit to the island since Tuesday and one of his first activities here was laying wreath to José Martí at the Memorial to the National Hero in Havana.

The head of state is scheduled to hold official talks with Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, and will also participate in a bilateral business forum.

In statements to the press, the Namibian prime minister said that his visit is aimed at the search for development for the two countries, always from the fraternity that has characterized relations between Cuba and Namibia.

As part of his work agenda, Gottfried Geingob will also assess new fields for scientific-economic cooperation, mainly related to the pharmaceutical industry and agriculture.
