Havana, April 3 (RHC)-- Cuban president Raul Castro held talks Monday afternoon with His Excellency Mr. Adel Bin Ahmed Al Jubeir, Minister
of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is on an official visit on the island.
Granma newspaper reports that during the meeting both parties highlighted the positive level of bilateral relations and expressed
their will to continue developing them. They also discussed issues on the regional and international agenda of common concern.
During his stay in Cuba, the Saudi Minister was also welcomed by Deputy Premier and Minister of Economy and Planning Ricardo Cabrisas
Ruiz and his counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
During the meeting at the Foreign Ministry Al Jubeir said that Cuba and Saudi Arabia are working to increase investments and collaboration
in different fields, and to increase consultations and exchanges on common issues in the international arena.
«We value Cuba´s firm stance with regard to the Palestinian cause», heconcluded.
This is the first time that a Saudi Foreign minister visits Cuba.
