Havana, September 27 (RHC)-- Cuban officials marked World Tourism Day this Thursday, amid concerted efforts by the country to develop this sector.
Under the banner “Tourism and Technological Transformation,” tourism industry workers reiterated their commitment to making the sector a key contributor to the country's socio-economic development, according to a statement by the Ministry of Tourism.
The document reiterates the importance of the use of new technologies in promoting Cuba as an attractive and competitive tourist destination, with the launching of a new platform: CubaTravel Official Tourism Portal.
