Havana, October 1 (RHC)-- Yemen's Deputy Foreign Minister Mansour Ali Baggash has criticized the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, and highlighted the island's support for Arab causes, especially Palestine, during a visit to the island.
Speaking to Prensa Latina, the Arab diplomat noted that Cuba and Yemen are united by common positions and values. He stressed the historic of the Cuban Revolution for the Palestinian people in their struggle against Israeli occupation, and his government's willingness to expand bilateral relations, noting that he has signed various agreements across different spheres during his trip.
The diplomat thanked the Cuban people and government for their support and solidarity, pointing out that Cuba offers young Yemenis to study a range of university degrees on the island.
Baggash confirmed that despite the country's current difficulties, the government of Yemen is committed to strengthening ties and bilateral cooperation with Cuba.
