Havana, December 28 (RHC)-- The seventeen members of the National Electoral Commission, appointed by the Cuban Council of State to organize and conduct the national referendum on the new Constitution of the Republic, assumed their posts Friday, December 28th.
In the referendum, set for February 24th, the Cuban people will ratify or reject the new Magna Carta, as approved by the National Assembly of People's Power last December 22nd, after a broad process of public consultation in which Cubans significantly enriched the draft text.
The provincial, municipal, district and special electoral commissions will be appointed and constituted between January 4th and 13th, 2019.
