Havana, March 27 (RHC) Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed in Havana his satisfaction about his meeting Wednesday with Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro.
Nguyen Tan Dung reiterated his gratitude to Fidel for the support given by Cuba to Vietnam during the liberation war and he stressed the admiration of his government, party and people towards Fidel Castro. He also recalled the homage paid in his country in 2013 during commemorations for the 40th anniversary of the firsts visit by the Cuban leader to the Asian nation.
The Vietnamese Premier, who kicked off an official visit to Cuba on Wednesday, also met with First Vice-president Miguel Diaz-Canel and laid a wreath at the monuments of national heroes Jose Marti and Ho Chi Min.
During a meeting with Cuban Friendship Institute officials on Wednesday, Nguyen Tan Dung stressed the friendship and collaboration relations between Havana and Hanoi and said that such bonds are at their highest level.
The Vietnamese prime minister will conclude his visit to Cuba on Friday and will depart for Haiti.
