Gladys Bejerano meets with Nayib Bukele, El Salvador’s new president

San Salvador, June 3 (RHC) Salvadoran new president, Nayib Bukele, says his country has a lot to learn from Cuba, especially on the field of healthcare.

Bukele made those remarks during an encounter with vice president of the Cuban Sate Council, Gladys Bejerano, who visited the Central American country to participate in the swearing in ceremony of the president held Saturday

During the meeting, Bejerano conveyed to Bukele the greetings from Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel and his best wishes for his mandate.

Bukele, for his part, said that relations of his government with Cuba will be based on bilateral development and mutual cooperation, while Cuba stated its intention to continue current political, economic and cooperation as well as friendship ties.

The excellent relations between the two countries were also highlighted by out going president, Salvador Sanchez Cerén, during a meeting he held with the Cuban official during this last day as president.
