FAO Director General will visit Cuba

Jose Graziano da Silva, FAO Director General

Havana, June 27 (RHC)-- The outgoing Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), José Graziano da Silva, will visit Cuba from June 29 to July 1.

Graziano da Silva will be closing the 7th Continental Congress of the Latin American Coordinator of Countryside Organizations known as  Vía Campesina, which will be held as of next Tuesday at the Niceto Pérez School in the province of Artemisa.

Da Silva, who will finish his second term as FAO’s Director General on July 30.

Participants in the meeting are peasant organizations from 21 countries in South America, Central America and the Caribbean and they will share their experiences of struggle, organization, production, and construction of policies
