Santa Clara, September 23 (RHC)-- Cuba's Minister of Domestic Trade, Betsy Díaz, said in the central city of Santa Clara that there are enough food supplies on the island to guarantee the basic family basket.
Speaking to local media Diaz said that despite the energy crisis provoked by the intensification of the US blockade and commercial siege, Cuban authorities are working hard to make sure that the food needs of the island’s people are well covered.
“We have food in the ports, in freezing chambers, in warehouses” and that's why we can convey a message of tranquility to the Cuban people that we have alternatives and ways to meet their needs.
