Havana, September 23 (RHC)-- Cuba expressed its firm rejection of the new economic measures imposed by the United States against Iran as part of its aggressive escalation against that Islamic nation.
Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez described the new round of sanctions as arbitrary and unjust, days after attacks on oil installations in Saudi Arabia, for which Riyadh and Washington blame Tehran.
On this occasion, U.S. impositions are directed against the Central Bank of Iran, a development fund and a company in that country.
The measures against the Iranian financial system, said the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, are a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the UN Charter, are contrary to international trade rules and threaten regional peace and stability.
