Cuba and France sign agreement to protect the environment

Havana, November 8 (RHC)-- Cuba and France signed a memorandum of understanding, an instrument that allows financing for the implementation of commitments on adaptation to climate change, reflected in the “Life Task”, the National Program for the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

French Ambassador in Cuba,  Patrice Paoli, said at Havana´s International Trade Fair that the initiative confirms France's commitment to generate positive impacts for the protection of the environment, following the Paris agreement.

He also referred to other financing agreements signed between the Ministry of Health and the French Development Agency for the modernization and strengthening of the capacities of the Institutes of Nephrology, Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology, as well as the “Pedro Kouri“Tropical Medicine Institute.
