Luanda, Apr 19, (RHC), -- The Cuban Deputy Attorney General, Carlos Concepcion Rangel, kicked off on Friday a working visit to Angola, in a bid to strengthen legal cooperation with the African country and to compliment an invitation to an event in this field, called the “Week of Legality.”
This is our first visit to Angola at the invitation of our sister institution in this African country, Rangel told the news agency Prensa Latina upon his welcoming at the international airport Quatro de Fevereiro, in Luanda. The Cuban official was received by Eduarda Rodriguez Neto, head of the cabinet for Cooperation and Exchange of the Angolan Attorney General's Office.
Rangel confirmed that during his stay in Luanda he will participate in the so-called Week of Legality, an event that focuses on issues, such as international organized crime and corruption. “Cuba agreed to participate in the event and show its modest experience,” he emphasized.
Rodriguez Neto confirmed that this visit emerged from an agreement signed in Havana between both attorney general offices, and consists, precisely, of cooperation in the judicial field, mainly in professional training and the exchange of legal information.
Rangel is accompanied by Alina Montesino, head of the Directorate of Criminal Proceedings, Patricia Rizo, head of the Office for International Prosecution Relations and Arnel Hernandez, district attorney of the province of Artemisa.
