Havana, January 11 (RHC)--The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, evokedSaturday  the memory of the revolutionary fighter, politician and Cuban researcher Celia Sánchez Manduley, on the 40th anniversary of her death.

"Celia teaches us the virtues that we must develop; in every space of the Palace of the Revolution, in every detail, we feel her eternal presence every day, her unparalleled imprint" the President wrote on Twitter.

Díaz-Canel also shared a link to the Presidency's website, which published fragments of the words spoken by the late intellectual and politician, Armando Hart, at the funeral of the woman who organized the clandestine campesino network in support of the guerrilla led by Fidel.

Hart said that she was the bearer of an exceptional feminine intuition, sensitivity and intelligence.

In Celia's hometown of Media Luna, in the eastern Granma Province, a commemoration was held, headed by the president of the Federation of Cuban Women, Teresa Amarelle. Flowers, poetry, and music were dedicated to the heroine Hart described as the most autochthonous flower of the Revolution.
