Havana, February 18 (RHC)-- The president of the Pan-African Parliament, Roger Nkodo Dang, paid tribute to the National Hero José Martí this Monday, placing a floral offering at the base of the monument to the Apostle, at Revolution Square in Havana.

Members of the Parliament and the Chamber of Councillors of the Kingdom of Morocco accompanied Dang during the ceremony, as well as Yolanda Ferrer, chairwoman of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People's Power.

The parliamentary leader is in Cuba on a visit that will extend until the 22nd of this month, to fulfill a full program of activities.

The Pan-African Parliament is composed of more than 200 members from over 50 countries of that continent, representing the five regions of Africa: North Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, East Africa, and Southern Africa.
