Cuban Foreign Minister arrives in Geneva for Human Rights Council

Geneva, February 23 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez arrived on Sunday in Geneva, to participate in the high-level segment of the 43rd ordinary session of the Human Rights Council, reported Prensa Latina news agency.

Regarding the forum that will begin on Monday at the Geneva headquarters of the United Nations, he said that the island will reiterate its commitment to human rights and will reject the political manipulation of the issue.

Cuba will ratify its commitment to the promotion and protection of all human rights, without selectivity, political manipulation, or double standards, the head of the Cuban delegation to the meeting posted on Twitter.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Rodríguez will address the Council and the Conference on Disarmament and will hold meetings with senior UN officials.  He will also speak with heads of delegations attending the event and carry out other activities.
