Havana, March 21 (RHC)-- Bruno Rodríguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, reported on Twitter that the Cuban embassies in Guyana and Haiti are taking steps to ensure the safe return to the island of the Cuban citizens who remain in those countries.

"The Embassies of Cuba in Guyana and Haiti have made effective arrangements with the authorities of those countries and airlines to guarantee the safe return of about 1700 Cuban citizens who remain in those territories after measures adopted to confront COVID-19," tweeted Rodriguez Parrilla.

On Friday, Cuban authorities announced the regulation of entry into the country of foreigners, allowing only the access of national residents, to whom it will guarantee the safe return.

The measure is taken to stop imported cases of COVID-19 and to concentrate efforts on those that already exist in the national territory.
