Havana, April 17 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel reaffired that socialism allows Cuba to fight the disease with social justice, and at the same time, helping other nations in their struggle.
On his official Twitter account, the Cuban president recalled Militia Day -- April 16th -- noting that on was on that day, 59 years ago, that Fidel Castro declared that the Cuban Revolution was socialist.
Diaz-Canel pointed to the events leading up to the mercenary invasion of Playa Giron, the Bay of Pigs. He said that the United States "attacked us in a cowardly way, painting false insignias on planes and bombing us."
Cuba, he said, responded by resisting the mercenary invasion and defeated the enemy in less than 72 hours.
