Bogota, April 26 (RHC)-- The Cuban ambassador to Colombia, José Luis Ponce, responded to the slanderous statements by journalist Salud Hernández in Semana magazine against our health system and its solidarity work in the world.

Cuba's representative to Bogota responded on his Twitter account, saying that the journalist offended Cuba's health care system by using references for her arguments from a "dubious non-governmental organization."  She published her slanderous article in the latest edition of the weekly magazine Semana.

The Colombian journalist called on Cuban health professionals to abandon their voluntary and supportive work in countries around the world.

For several weeks, voices have been joining in Colombia to highlight the solidarity work of medical personnel from the island in various countries, and to request that the U.S. government end the genocidal blockade, considered the main obstacle to the development of Cuba, especially in the midst of the world crisis caused by COVID-19.
