Havana, June 19 (RHC)-- The Director of Bilateral Affairs of the U.S. General Directorate, Yuri Gala López, expressed today to the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires, Mara Tekach, the most energetic rejection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the letter sent by this diplomat in complicity with common criminal José Daniel Ferrer.
In handing over a note of protest, Gala López emphasized that "the behavior of the Embassy and, in particular, of the Chargé d'Affaires, is not surprising" and that "the moral deterioration through which the foreign policy of that country is passing and the contribution to that deterioration of several of its officials with responsibility for Cuban issues is well known."
He also said that "the conduct of the Embassy and its Chargé d'Affaires represents a clear provocative interference in the internal affairs of the country and constitutes a flagrant violation of the norms of international law and diplomatic relations between States."
The Cuban official recalled that the diplomat "represents a government known for its deplorable record on human rights, both in its own territory and in other countries" and that "this is confirmed by the recent assassination of George Floyd at the hands of the forces of law and order."
