Havana, July 19 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez congratulated this Sunday the government and the people of Nicaragua, on the 41st anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution, and ratified the support of the Caribbean nation.

"I congratulate the brotherly people and government of Nicaragua on the 41st anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution and I ratify Cuba's solidarity in the face of the challenges imposed by the international scenario," the foreign minister wrote on his Twitter account.

On July 19, 1979, after 18 years of guerrilla struggle, the insurrection organized by the Sandinista National Liberation Front triumphed, freeing Nicaragua from the dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza and opening the way for numerous social transformations.
