Cuba reports 74 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

Havana, August 19 (RHC)-- Cuba has reported 74 new cases detected yesterday of COVID-19, for a total of 3,482 positive cases across the island.  

During the daily press briefing, Dr. Pablo Feal Cañizares said that over the past 24 hours -- up until 12 midnight Tuesday night -- fortunately, no patients died from the coronavirus.  A total of 88 patients have died in Cuba over the past several months. 

Sitting in for Dr. Francisco Durán, the Director of the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Unit of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Pablo Feal Cañizares, offered the daily news conference Wednesday morning on Cuban radio and television.
