Havana, October 5 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said that getting life back to normal in Cuba depends on our individual and collective responsibility.
On his Twitter account, the top Cuban diplomat highlighted that it is necessary to comply with the health measures, among which the use of the mask, the disinfection of hands and surfaces, the avoidance of crowds and the maintenance of a distance of at least one and a half meters between people.
The foreign minister also pointed out that the experience accumulated in the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic allowed to overcome outbreaks and reduce vulnerabilities, in a battle prioritized by the country's top leadership.
On numerous occasions, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has reiterated the need for people not to trust the favorable statistics of the disease and to maintain at all times the rigor in the face of the pandemic.
Cuba is recovering from the second wave of the COVID-19, which generated more than 2,500 cases in the months of August and September, with the peak of the epidemic on the 9th of September, with 93 patients in a 24-hour period.
After the application of strict measures for the control of COVID-19 throughout the month of September, Havana achieved a certain epidemiological stability and it was decided to reactivate production and services beginning October 1st, without giving up teleworking and distance work.
