Haitian President Michel Martelly Visits Cuba to Reinforce Cooperation

Havana, May 20 (RHC) – On Monday, Haitian President Michel Martelly traveled to Cuba to talk collaboration relations with government authorities. The announcement was made by the head of state on his Twitter account.

According to Prensa Latina news agency, Martelly wrote on Twitter that he had left Haiti Monday morning for Havana in order to met with Cuban authorities on cooperation.

The Haitian president acknowledged the historical cooperation offered by Cuba to his country during the 6th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States, held last month in Mexico. Cuban collaboration with Haiti continues today in health, education, construction, fishing, sports and other areas.
