The Council of State analyzed the four bills that will be submitted
to the consideration of the National Assembly.

Havana, October 22 (RHC)-- The Council of State met Wednesday night at the Capitol, in a session presided by Esteban Lazo Hernández, with the participation of
President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz.

In compliance with one of its constitutional duties, the Council of State analyzed the four bills that will be submitted to the consideration of the National Assembly of People's Power in the V Ordinary Period of Sessions, next October 28.

The mentioned bills correspond to the Foreign Service; of the Revocation of those elected to the organs of People's Power; of the Organization and Functioning of the Council of Ministers; and the President and Vice President of the Republic.

Participants at the session agreed on the quality of the legislative drafts. Experts from various institutions have been involved, and how important they are, since with their approval, the state structure at the national level would already have its normative basis.

The Council of State also evaluated the proposal to hold the delegate's accountability meetings for the remainder of this year, and in this regard, agreed not to hold them, given the country's health and hygiene situation, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the impact it has had on the economy.

The Council of State also approved the Operating Regulations of the Auxiliary Offices of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, a structure whose fundamental mission is to assist these bodies in the performance of their functions.

The Council of State, at the proposal of the President of the Popular Supreme Court, also agreed to extend the current mandate of the lay judges until the new law on that institution is approved, and to carry out the next election process following its provisions.

It was also decided to make some adjustments to the regulations regarding using the "Golden Star of Labor" medal, which is the symbol representing the title of "Labor Hero of the Republic of Cuba.
