Hanoi, November 10 (RHC)-- A new book published in Vietnam pays tribute to the universal legacy of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, through a compilation of testimonies, anecdotes, and facts that illustrate the close bond of the leader of the Cuban Revolution with the authorities and the people of the Asian country.
The Cuban Foreign Ministry's website, CubaMinrex, highlighted the book's virtues, entitled Fidel and Vietnam, Unforgettable Memories.
It collects testimonies of people who were witnesses of the Cuban strategist's presence when the Indo-Chinese nation was living the crucial moments of the war against imperialism.
Fidel's visit to Quang Binh and Quang Tri, the construction of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in the city of Dong Hoi are highlights of the book.
Presented in Hanoi, the volume compiles some thirty articles in about 300 pages. The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Truong Thi Mai, described the publication as reference material for the new generations.
The book was conceived as a tribute, in the framework of the fourth anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Commander in Chief, and salute to the 60 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba.
