Havana, May 23 (RHC) -- A new event in Solidarity with Cuba and the Cuban Five takes place tomorrow, Saturday, in Chicago, Illinois, in the framework of the Latin America Studies Association (LASA) annual Congress.
Participating Cuban and other international and U.S. academics -- along with solidarity activists and the Chicago community, will gather for a forum and reception, in which the case of the Cuban anti-terrorists will feature prominently.
The aim is to increase support for the freedom of Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino and Antonio Guerrero, the three Cuban anti-terrorists, members of the Cuban Five, who are still being held in U.S. prisons.
Organizers include the Chicago Cuba Coalition, the Chicago Cuban Five Committee, the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five and the ANSWER Coalition, among other solidarity groups.
