Havana, May 24 (RHC)-- The award “50 years producing for the people” was conferred this week to the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro in recognition of his efforts to develop the poultry industry in Cuba.
This special acknowledgement was handed over by Emiliano Diaz, director of the National Poultry Complex (CAN) to Agriculture Minister Gustavo Rodriguez, during a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of the CAN.
During the meeting, Rodriguez spoke about the challenges and future projects in this sector, particularly the plan to re-establish the production levels of years prior to the 1991 economic crisis.
