Havana, January 4 (RHC) -- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel welcomed the Henry Reeve Brigade members who collaborated in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Kuwait, national television reported.
On Twitter, the President sent them a welcoming message.
This health personnel worked for seven months in eight public hospitals and one campaign hospital. They attended 33,753 patients and performed 374,680 nursing procedures.
Also, they worked in the emergency services, and in the field hospital, they joined the PCR sampling, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health said.
The brigade arrived in Kuwait on June 5, 2020, with 198 nurses, 3 English teachers, and 96 doctors.
On August 6, 2020, 152 of them returned to Cuba, and another 39 doctors joined the brigade.
Sixty members of the Henry Reeve are still working in that Arab nation, , including 28 doctors, 31 nurses, and a brigade chief.
