Vietnam and Cuba ratify their  friendship and cooperation ties

Hanoi, March 17 (RHC)-- Foreign Minister of Vietnam Pham Binh Minh and his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez ratified on Tuesday their countries' willingness to further boost bilateral friendship and cooperation ties.

On a telephone conversation, both ministers expressed their satisfaction over the excellent state of the bilateral relations, which turned 60 in December 2020.

'We highlight the high priority offered to the political, economic, scientific, cultural relations and cooperation programs,' the Cuban foreign minister tweeted.

When talking with Binh Minh, Rodriguez commended Vietnam's efforts fighting Covid-19, which allowed it to keep a high economic growth rate.

For his part, the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed his government's determination to support Cuba's battles for independence and economic development under its own model.

Both highlighted the results of the 6th Round of Political Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs, held virtually on March 2, and reiterated their willingness to comply with the 2021 bilateral agenda fully.

Vietnam and Cuba keep systematic high-level contacts.
