Cuba reports 689 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths

Havana, Mar 18 (RHC) The national director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported on Thursday four deaths and 689 new COVID-19 infections on the national territory.

Since the first case was reported on the island in March last year, Cuba already accumulates 64,414 infections and 384 fatalities.

The specialist said on national television that by midnight 21,619 patients had been admitted, of which 3,681 were suspected, 14,342 were under epidemiological surveillance and 3,596 were confirmed.

As of March 17, 190 countries have reported cases of COVID-19, with 121,492,220 infections and 2,685,458 deaths.
