Jamaica praises Cuba's collaboration in the education sector

Havana, March  19 (RHC)-- The Government of Jamaica praised on Friday the cooperation provided by Cuba in the field of education, which has benefited thousands of Jamaicans for more than 20 years.

Fayval Williams, Minister of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica, made the remarks during a virtual meeting with the Cuban ambassador in Kingston, Inés Fors, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry website.

Currently, the contingent of Cuban teachers is made up of 83 teachers who teach at all levels of schooling to 36,000 children and young people in almost all the provinces of the neighboring Caribbean island.

Cuba and Jamaica established relations in December 1972, and since then, they have shared cooperation links in various spheres of life.
