Cuba reports 813 new COVID-19cases, 5 deaths

Havana, March 20 (RHC)-- Cuba reported today 813 new cases of CVOVID-19 and five deaths.

Cuba's National Epidemiology Director, Francisco Durán, explained that 19,788 tests were performed in the 23 Molecular Biology laboratories of the Caribbean country to detect the coronavirus.

At present, 3,452 positive patients are admitted in the nation's hospitals, of whom 3,384 have a stable clinical evolution. Simultaneously, 68 cases are being treated in ICUs, 39 in serious and 29 in critical condition.

Durán regretted the death of five patients in the last hours, and the number of deaths reached 392.

From March 2020 to date, 65,962 citizens have been diagnosed with the disease on the Caribbean island.

The head of Epidemiology urged to take better care of minors because to date, 7,723 pediatric cases have already been reported. In fact, in the last hours, 100 cases have been reported, among them, six infants.

He added that the total number of people recovered from Covid-19 in the Caribbean country reached 62,62 thousand 62 after 931 patients were discharged on Friday.
