Havana, August 5 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced the systemic racism in the United States, which causes the loss of human lives at the hands of law enforcement forces in that country.
In his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy explained that police brutality in that northern nation had caused more than 1,000 deaths, 73 percent of which have been of blacks and Hispanics.
Systemic racism takes human lives in the streets of the United States by the very bodies that should protect its population, Rodriguez said on that social media platform.
According to statistics published by the U.S. newspaper Washington Post in June 2020, more than 1,000 people die every year in the U.S. due to police action.
