Havana, October 21 (RHC)-- Cuba and Costa Rica ratified their commitment to guarantee a regular, orderly and safe migratory flow between the two countries, the Cuban Foreign Ministry announced.

According to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the II Round of Migratory Talks, they evaluated the behavior of the flow of travelers between the two countries, including the illicit activities associated with it.

During the virtual meeting, both parties exchanged information on the regulations in force in their respective countries, reported the Cubaminrex portal.

The director-general of Consular Affairs and Cubans Residing Abroad of the Foreign Ministry in Havana, Ernesto Soberón, and Costa Rica's deputy director-general of Migration and Alien Affairs, Daguer Hernández, chaired their respective delegations.

In 2017, officials from both countries held the I Round of Migratory Talks in San José and in 2018 signed an agreement to guarantee regular and safe flows, as well as to enhance cooperation in the area.
