Havana, October 26 (RHC)—Cuban health authorities reported on Tuesday 975 new COVID-19 infections and 10 fatalities associated with the disease. This is the first time in months that the Caribbean island daily cases are below the 1,000 mark.

The Caribbean island now accumulates 947 9345 and 8,101 deaths since March 2020.

Meanwhile, more than 300 thousand convalescents who were diagnosed with Covid-19 between July 25 and August 31 will receive, as of this week, the single dose of Soberana Plus once they have completed the two months established after having been discharged from the hospital.

Dr. María Elena Soto, head of the Department of Primary Health Care of the Minsap, recalled that, between the end of September and October, the vaccine was administered to convalescents who fell ill from the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 until last July.

She added that the process would be carried out in the country's vaccination centers, and the convalescents would be summoned at the level of the Health areas to be immunized with a single dose.
