After midnight local time, the President of the Supreme Electoral Council, Brenda Rocha, revealed the first electoral results with the counting of nearly 50 percent of the votes. Based on this information, President Daniel Ortega, running for reelection for the 2022-2027 term, received 74.99 percent of the votes cast.
