Havana, November 23 (RHC)-- Cuban deputy prime minister, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruíz, is in Russia. During his first working day, he held important meetings to discuss issues of interest in bilateral relations.

Ana Teresita González, first deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba and member of the delegation, announced the visit on Twitter.

Cabrisas met with Ivan I. Melnikov, first deputy speaker of the State Duma; with Vadim V. Kumin, deputy and deputy chairman of the Finance Committee of that institution, and with Gueorgui N. Potapov, vice president of the International Investment Bank, BII.

Cabrisas Ruíz plans to hold a meeting of Co-Chairs of the Cuban-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, which will review issues of interest in economic, trade, financial, scientific-technical, and cooperation relations between the two countries, giving continuity to the contacts held in Havana last October, according to Cubaminrex.

The deputy prime minister will meet with high-level government authorities and executives of companies with relations with Cuba.

Meetings will also be held with the leading authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), an integrationist bloc in which Cuba participates as an Observer State.
