Havana, December 14 (RHC)-- The 20th ALBA-TCP Summit concluded with the adoption of political consensus agreements and an action plan that endorses its independent course for integration and against U.S. interference.
This was the consensus reached in Havana by the heads of state and representatives of the ten nations that make up the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our America-Trade Treaty of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP).
ALBA-TCP is the alternative against the new economic colonialism, states the final declaration summarized by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel.
The president stressed that the declaration rejected what it described as "attempts by imperialism to confuse our peoples" and condemned them with unilateral coercive measures.
The Havana Declaration thanked Cuba for its contribution to other peoples and rejected Washington's blockade against the largest Caribbean island and its inclusion in a unilateral U.S. list on charges of terrorism.
We denounce the lies of imperialism that preaches peace and practices war, emphasizes the text. It also expresses solidarity with Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia.
Climate change, migration, post-Covid-19 strategy, selective protectionism are among the issues the mechanism intends to advance.
It also expresses Cuba's reiterated commitment to collaborate with the bloc member countries, particularly in the vaccination against the coronavirus.
The presidents of Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia, Nicolás Maduro, Daniel Ortega, and Luis Arce, respectively, participated in the conclave. Also, the Prime Ministers of Grenada, Keith Mitchell and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves.
