The internationalist staff of Radio Habana Cuba greets all its listeners and friends around the world this January 1, 2022, when we
celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
And we celebrate it without forgetting the enormous efforts and] sacrifices made by our people, for more than six decades, to preserve
national independence and sovereignty in the face of an empire that is not resigned to the existence of a free, dignified, and sovereign
Cuba.
It has been more than 60 years of hard battle against an illegal blockade that the Republican government of Donald Trump of the United
States has intensified to unheard-of limits until turning it into a true genocide, without even respecting the emergence of a pandemic
that has hit the very people of the United States with rudeness.
A year in which Democrat Joe Biden, who added new anti-Cuban measures,in open collusion with members of the Miami counterrevolutionary
mafia, did not fulfill his campaign promises either.
But Cuba arrives at a new year full of hope, with the immense joy of receiving the solidarity of peoples, including the United States, and
of sharing our advances in Medicine, Science, Culture, and Education, with those nations that need it and are grateful for it.
In 2021, Cuba accomplished the feat of returning to a new normality thanks to the vaccines created by its scientists, which allowed the
opening of borders, the resumption of classes in all education levels, and the revival of the economy.
Radio Habana Cuba, a radio station conceived from the Sierra Maestra and announced to the world in the glorious days of Playa Giron by
Commander Fidel Castro, will continue in the new year its broadcasts in several languages on short wave, Internet, and FM, to contribute to
the battle against the lies of the empire and its agents and to proclaim to the world the truths of Cuba and other peoples of the
world.
In this endeavor, we will nourish ourselves every day of the new year on the principles and teachings of Fidel and the most universal of
Cubans, José Martí, who told us that Homeland is Humanity.
