Havana, July 12, (RHC), – The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, paid tribute on Friday to Jose Marti with the placing of a wreath at the Memorial named after the Cuban National Hero in Havana.
Putin was accompanied by Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, member of the Politburo of the Cuban Communist Party and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
They toured the building, where they received detailed information on the life and work of the Apostle.
Later on Friday, Putin, accopanied by his Cuban counterpart, Raul Castro, paid tribute to the Soviet Internationalist Soldier at the Mausoleum built on the outskirts of Havana.
Putin arrived in Havana on Friday on an official visit heading a top-level government delegation.
