Havana, July 14 (RHC) -- Cuban First Vice President Miguel Díaz Canel affirmed in Havana that schools are the ideal place to begin to transform society.
Addressing an ordinary session of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power in Villa Clara, Díaz Canel stressed that teachers, professors and principals have a key role to play in that direction.
The Cuban first vice president stressed that the school should regain their main role in passing on knowledge and instilling high human and patriotic values in the new generations of Cubans, those who will give continuity to the 1959 Revolution.
In that sense, Diaz Canel stressed that the proposed new measures for the next school year should be seen not as a relaxation of school rules, but rather an opportunity to regain now-lost key aspects of the teaching-learning process, including the necessary time dedicated to the constant professional upgrading of teachers and professors and the comprehensive training of their students.
