Havana, July 4 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla congratulated on Monday the Community of Caribbean States (CARICOM) on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the creation of that organization.

On Twitter, the foreign minister reaffirmed "the commitment to continue deepening ties with CARICOM member states, which will always be able to count on Cuba."

The ties between the largest Caribbean island and CARICOM have been almost as long as that community. Over the years, they have been strengthened by the solidarity cooperation of the island towards those nations and the support of the bloc to Cuba in the face of the U.S. blockade.
